Product Description

RS485 To LoRaWAN Collector To Complete Point-To-Point Data Collection For IoT Communication Occasions

  • Brief Introduction
  1. DCRL12-RDK150 G2A 485 to LoRaWAN collector (uplink LoRaWAN, downlink 485) based on edge computing is a product specially developed for IoT communication occasions. The product is compatible with RS485 industry standards (DL/T645, CJ/T188, MODBUS  protocol). The product is designed according to the concept of industrial control standards, with energy saving and isolated communication!
  2. The collector is simple to use. Only install the collector in the area that the LoRaWAN gateway signal can cover. The point-to-point data collection is completed through the gateway, with low power consumption, long service life and two-way data transmission. It provides a reliable guarantee for the accurate collection of real-time data. The collector can automatically upload data to the gateway. The gateway automatically uploads data to the network platform. The product has simple structure and is easy to maintain and replace. No uplink communication cable connection, easy and fast installation.  It has the characteristics of strong anti-interference ability, long transmission distance, high speed and stable operation.

  • Main Functions and Features
  1. Downlink RS485 interface (baud rate can be set), with 1-32 terminals. Uplink LoRaWAN.
  2. Dual RS485 interfaces. One way is to set the maintenance interface locally.
  3. With miniature AC power supply, AC 220V is directly connected.
  4. Support DL/645, CJ/T188, MODBUS and other protocols (customizable).
  5. Edge computing technology is applied, and regular active upload and transparent transmission can be switched. Uploaded data tasks (maximum number of data tasks: 4), the interval between uploading data (0000~9999 minutes) and the terminal file (only the terminals that exist in the file can automatically upload data) can be set.
  6. It has the function of remote LoRaWAN mode and local RS485 mode for data maintenance.
  7. Communication isolation, which applies the patented technology of the company, has the functions of active isolation, anti-lightning strike, anti-jamming, anti-high voltage, and effectively protects the normal operation of RS485 interface and collector.
  8. Professional interface data flow automatic control technology. Give priority to the instruction frame issued by the platform gateway.
  9. It is installed with 2P guide rail, with small volume. Easy installation.
  10. The collector status indication is rich. The working status of the collector can be determined by the status indicator on site.
  11. Automatically save the configured parameters in case of power failure. Automatic recovery when powered on.

  • Main Technical Parameters
  1. Electrical parameters: working voltage: AC 220V+- 20% 50Hz. RS485 idle voltage: DC 5V. RS485 carrying capacity: 32 RS485 terminal devices (800 meters). Consumption power: active power ≤ 3W, apparent power ≤ 5VA;
  2. Wireless performance parameters: central frequency point: 433MHz/470MHz (customized project), LoRaWAN international standard. Modulation technology: linear frequency modulation spread spectrum modulation. Bandwidth: 125kHz/250kHz. RF power: 20dBm (100mW). Receiving sensitivity: - 143dBm @ SF12/BW 125KHz;
  3. Safety performance: impulse voltage: 2kV. Working withstand voltage: 2kV;
  4. Electromagnetic compatibility: electrostatic discharge: 4kV. Fast pulse group: 2kV (power circuit),/2kV (signal circuit).                  Surge: 2kV (differential mode)
  5. Operating environment: temperature: - 20 ℃~+60 ℃. Humidity: relative humidity ≤ 95%;
  6. Data storage: data storage time ≥ 10 years after power failure;
  7. Communication interface: dual RS485 interface. Set the port 2400bps locally. Meter communication port: four baud rates can be set (such as: 200bps; 2400bps; 4800bps; 9600bps).

  • Principle and function block diagram of collector
  1. Power supply module: use efficient switching power supply module for power supply;
  2. LoRa communication module: realize data interaction between LoRa node and gateway. Select the Class C working mode in the LoRaWAN standard protocol;
  3. Local setting port: it has the operation parameters of the query collector, and has the option to set some operation parameters;
  4. Downlink meter communication port: enable the unified communication baud rate according to the baud rate setting value of the downlink port in the collector;
  5. Main control module: control the data receiving/sending of three serial channels. At the same time, the internal E2 data is stored/read. At the same time, set the status of the indicator according to the current working status to inform the field personnel of the working status of the collector.

  • Indicator Description
  1. Online: After the collector is powered on, the LoRa communication module automatically initiates the join action to access the network. The indicator flashes. When the module is successfully connected to the network, the indicator will turn to the normally on mode;
  2. Uplink: When the uplink LoRa module receives/sends data. The indicator light flashes once. The normal state is off;
  3. Downlink: when the uplink meter bus port receives/sends data. The indicator light flashes once. The normal state is off;
  4. A1, B1, A2 and B2 terminals are RS-485 interfaces
  5. A1 and B1 terminals: RS-485 communication port of downstream meter.
  6. A2 and B2 terminals: set RS-485 communication port locally
