Heihe-Daqing Natural Gas Pipeline Officially Breaks Ground
On 26 August, the Heihe-Daqing natural gas pipeline, a project under the national oil and gas '15th Five-Year Plan', officially broke ground in Sunwu County, Heilongjiang Province. The 578.3 km pipeline passes through four cities and ten counties in Heilongjiang with a design pressure of 12 MPa. Connected with the planned Daqing-Changling pipeline, the project will form a dual-channel pattern with the 'north gas south delivery' corridor, raising system capacity from 38 billion to 48 billion cubic meters per year and improving the northeast natural gas pipeline network.
CPOE Delivers North America LNG Export Terminal with Zero Punch List Items
On 24 August, China Petroleum Offshore Engineering (CPOE) announced zero punch list delivery of its North America LNG export terminal project, with process quality fully compliant with international standards including the American Petroleum Institute and CSA Group. IGU and Snam Release 2026 Global Gas Report
The International Gas Union (IGU) and Snam have released the 2026 Global Gas Report. The report shows global gas demand reached a record 4,202 billion cubic meters in 2025, and that investment in supply diversification, LNG infrastructure and storage helped the global gas system absorb a major 2026 supply shock far more effectively than in 2022.
Yangjiang Reservoir Water System Interconnection Project Begins Operation
The water system interconnection project in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, has begun trial operation. The project built a 7.5 km DN800 pressure pipeline conveying water from Modidong Reservoir through Yangdong and Jiangcheng districts to the city's interconnected reservoir group, with a maximum annual diversion of 3.3 million cubic meters. The reservoir group links Qinghu, Dajinshan, Dutian and Dapanlie reservoirs. With interconnection, the two systems achieve joint dispatch, providing ecological replenishment in dry seasons and assisting flood discharge in flood seasons.
